Pleased to be invited to present at the upcoming annual conference of the Association for Women in Psychology (AWP) taking place virtually March 5–7, 2021. I'll be giving an experiential workshop with the interventions and research on dance, embodied self-awareness and well-being we did at the University of Derby, UK. The workshop was qualified by the American Psychological Association (APA), Division 35, The Society for the Psychology of Women, to award CE credits for psychologists.
The conference will be dedicated to the topic of anti-racism work and intergenerational trauma, and I highly appreciate the opportunity to contribute. My workshop will provide a creative and embodied experience involving indigenous wisdom, dance as an approach for well-being, coping with stress, depression, loneliness, and the pandemic. It will help make aware of dance as the means to self-expression, sensory experience, body esteem, and community transformation. You are welcome to join!
